William S. Hughes

At his request there will be no services for William Stokes Hughes, husband of Pat Carroll Hughes.



Mr. Hughes, 61, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at his home. He was born May 31, 1947, in Georgetown, Co. to the late Clarendon and Edith May Hill Hughes.



He attended Winyah High School, Georgetown and enlisted in the US Army following graduation. After his discharge from the Army, he became a civil service employee at the Charleston Naval Shipyard until its closure. He then transferred to the Submarine Base at St. Mary's, GA.



Surviving, in addition to his wife, are: sister, Bonita H. Carroll of Summerville; step-sons, Ray Eaddy of Kingstree and Tony Saunders of Sharon, PA; step-sister, Doris Landreth of Goose Creek and a number of aunts and nephews.
