Russell "Rusty" Bryan Stokes

Russell “Rusty” Bryan Stokes, 51, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021.  He was born in Darlington, SC, a son of Ann White Stokes and the late Heyward Laverne Stokes, Jr.  He is also predeceased by his brother, James Bradley “Brad” Stokes.

Rusty was employed with Sonoco Products until he was disabled.  He enjoyed building things with his hands and was a Clemson fan, as well as an Atlanta Braves fan.  He was a wonderful daddy who loved his girls.  

Surviving is his mother, Ann White Stokes; three daughters, Allison Elizabeth Stokes, Courtney Leigh Stokes and Emliee Anne Stokes; three grandchildren, Avalynn Grace Lewellen, Abigail Faith Bailey and Addison Hope Bailey; a niece, Haley Stokes and a nephew, Luke Stokes.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, December 30, 2021, in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 at the mausoleum just prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence County Miracle League or to Southside Baptist Church.
