Ronnie Connor Obituary

Ronnie Lee Connor, 75, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023.  He was born in Bladenboro, NC, a son of the late Carl Matthew and Leola Dove Connor.  He is also predeceased by a sister, Frances Beane and a brother, Charles Matthew Connor.

Ronnie served his country in the US Navy having later earned his accounting degree from the University of SC and his MBA in accounting from Francis Marion University.  He was retired from Roche Carolina.  He was a volunteer for Florence County Parks and Recreation, loved travelling with his wife and was very active in going to the gym. 

Surviving is his wife, Sylvia Grant Connor; son, Garrett Matthew Connor (Carrie); grandson, McCall Matthew Connor; two sisters, Judy Mixon and Brenda McLellan (Jimmy); and several nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2023 in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home. Inurnment with military honors will follow in the Florence National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 -1:00 PM just prior to the service at the funeral Home.
