Randell "Randy" Hyler, Sr. Obituary

Randell Allen Hyler, Sr., 67, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at Carolina Pines Hospital. He was born in Florence, a son of the late Columbus Eugene Hyler, Sr. and Sarah Christabelle Bazen Hyler.

Randy was retired from RockTenn and he loved riding motorcycles. He was a talented woodworker and he loved cooking and grilling. He was a “try it and fix it” kind of guy. Randy loved his home, his farm and his family.

Randy is survived by his wife, Sherrie Taylor Hyler; son, Dr. Randell Allen Hyler, Jr. (Lori); daughter, Leslie Hyler Ervin (Tim); three grandchildren, T.J. Ervin, Jessie Ervin and Josey Hyler; god-children, Michael, Connor and Caroline Filyaw; siblings, C.E. “Junior” Hyler, Jr. (Sheri), Susan Hyler, Dr. Daniel Hyler (Debbie) and Crystal Hyler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6 PM on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 PM at the funeral home prior to the service, and other times at his residence.
