Patricia Louise (Crawford) Brown

March 14, 1942 ~ February 23, 2023 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Obituary

With family by her side, Patricia Louise (Crawford) Brown passed away on February 23, 2023 while bravely battling cancer.

She was born on March 14th, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA.  Daughter of parents Charles Crawford (1916-1994) and Edwina Crawford (1919-2014). Survived by beloved sisters Roberta (Timothy) Braxton and Christine (William) Wixted, and brothers Charles (Jennifer) Crawford and John (Vicki) Crawford, loving daughters Amy (Steve) McCartt, and Kelly Washam, son Paul Brown, granddaughters Meghan (Michael) Briscoe and Emily McCartt, grandsons Philip “Andrew” Brown, Steven McCartt and Bryan McCartt, and Great-Granddaughter due in August of 2023, along with several nieces, nephews and an extended family sister-in-law Alice Marie Swift.

Her love for Jesus and her family were the main focuses of her life. As a lifelong Registered Nurse in convalescent facilities, caring for others was ingrained in who she was. Pat would do anything for anybody and always took the selfless route. Pat was a lifelong Christian and church attendee, but going to her Son in Law’s church (Family Worship Center) was something she relished for 23 years, rarely missing a Sunday to care for the children in nursery and being a Wednesday greeter up into her final days. Shopping was a popular lifelong hobby for Pat, she could be found at Hamrick’s or Tuesday Morning on any given day. She was known to “shop ‘til she dropped” with her sidekick granddaughter, Meghan on Black Fridays.

Pat had an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful smile! She made everyone giggle with her facial expressions, and all her quirky ways. She was kind, generous and compassionate. She was fiercely independent until her final days, insisting she didn’t want to give up living alone or driving. She loved her entire family. She worried about them, prayed for them, rooted for them, protected them, forgave them, and always kept on loving them.

Pat will be desperately missed by all those that she touched in her travelled life, including her furry children, Beau, Penny, Callie and Baby, who she loved like her own children throughout life. Our hearts are so broken by this loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

Services will be held at 12:15 PM on March 19th at Family Worship Center in Florence, SC. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations be made to the Florence County Humane Society.
