Oliver Blake Webber, Jr.

Oliver B. Webber, Jr., 85, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022.  He was born in Spartanburg, SC, a son of the late Oliver Blake Webber, Sr. and the late Alice Rhodesa Epton Webber.  He is also predeceased by his son, Timothy Alan Webber and his daughter, Rhonda Lynne Webber.

Mr. Webber served his country in the Army Reserves.  He received a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics from Wofford and worked for Milliken and Company for 33 years until his retirement.  He was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church.  Oliver was a former member of the British Car Club and enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, JoEllen Bryson Webber; daughter-in-law, Janet Carter Webber; grand-daughter Anna Lynne Webber; and a brother Gilbert Webber (Kay).

A memorial service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at St. Luke Lutheran Church.  Inurnment will follow in the Columbarium at the church.  The family will receive friends following the service at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church in honor of Oliver.
