Nancy Greenlee Bostian, 96, of Florence, SC, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
There will be a private graveside service at the Florence National Cemetery. The family invites you to a drop-in to Celebrate her life on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 3:30 until 6:30 PM at Jack and Janet Miller’s home.
Mrs. Bostian was born in Badin, NC, on January 26, 1926. She was the daughter of Francis Leland Greenlee and Mae Lewis Greenlee. She graduated from Lenoir Rhyne College in 1947 and did graduate work at USC and Francis Marion College. Mrs. Bostian began her teaching career in North Carolina, and retired from Florence District 1 in 1987.
On June 4, 1947, she married Frank Sloop Bostian in Badin, NC. They were married for 54 years until Mr. Bostian’s death in 2001. Mrs. Bostian was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was member and chair of Circle #9. She volunteered at the Manna House and Mercy Medicine.
Survivors include her son, Leland “Buddy” Bostian and his wife, Libby Cone Bostian of Leesville, SC; daughters, Janet Bostian Miller and her husband Jack H. Miller of Darlington, SC and Sally Bostian Munn and her husband Charles D. Munn of Pamplico, SC; grandchildren, Wesley Todd Bostian (Julie) of Winston Salem, NC, Dr. Stacy E. Bostian of Summerville, SC, Laurie Miller-Turner (Cliff) of Florence, Nancy Munn Guerin (Paul) of Newark, DE and Christy Munn Branham (Blake) of Florence. Mrs. Bostian especially loved spending time with her great-grandchildren, Riley Brooke Bostian, Caroline Brice Bostian, Nancy Adeline Turner, Wesley Charles Guerin, Miller Allen Turner, Lily Bostian Turner and Hannah Leighton Guerin. She is also survived by a nephew and nieces.
