Marylou Snyder

Marylou Snyder, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.  She was born in Amsterdam, NY, to the late Richard and Mildred Seward Dona.  She is also predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and William Dona. 

Marylou was a member of Canajoharie Reform Church where she served as a Deacon and sang in the choir.  She was a volunteer EMT, Girl Scout Leader and was part of the Fireman’s Auxiliary.  Marylou’s grandchildren were her world.  She loved camping, ceramics, spending time with her family, traveling, cruises and just loved living life to the fullest. She was an amazing wife, mother and Nana!

Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Gerald Snyder; five daughters, Penny Arduini (Lance), Robin Gambrell (Randy), Holly Baird (David), Geri Snyder (Ronnie Bowerman) and Mary Hudson (Stacey); thirteen grand-children, Courtney, Jeffrey, Kristen, Stephanie, Andrew, Ariana, Kaitlyn, Sara, Jacquline, Jenna, John, Bailey and Ray; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Scherry Starr and Linda Ross; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is honored to serve the Snyder family.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
