Mary Jane Calcutt Jordan

Mary Jane Calcutt Jordan, 77, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021.  She was born in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late George W. and Edna Mae Powell Calcutt.  In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Melton E. Jordan; a son, Kenny Bazen; a brother, Allen Calcutt and a sister, Shelby Calcutt.

Mrs. Jordan was the owner and operator of Kut ‘N’ Curl and later JJ’s Salon.  She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church for 44 years and was in the True Believers Sunday School class. 

Surviving are her son, Michael Jordan; two step-daughters, Melanie Jordan and Marsha Zero; eight grandchildren, Jessica Bazen, Kimberly Bazen Self, Ashly Bazen, Cameron Jordan, Carson Jordan, Ava Jordan, Michael Zero and Shawn Zero; four great-grandchildren, Dean Caples, Dawson Self, Wyatt Bazen and Harper O’Cain; a sister, Edna Hearne; and a number of nieces and nephews. 

A graveside service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2021, in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM on Thursday in the Mausoleum Chapel, just prior to the service.  COVID-19 protocols will be observed.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pruitt Hospice of Aiken and especially her nurse, Deanna Baughman, for the special care given to Mrs. Jane.
