Mary Frances Wagner

Mary Frances Wagner, 97, of the Bethea Retirement Community, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.  Mary was born in Elizabeth City, NC a daughter of the late Furman and Birdie Hinds Brown.  She retired from working in retail and was a member of the Bethea Retirement Community for many years.  Mary loved to paint by number, reading and watching Hallmark.  She loved her family and friends very much and enjoyed spending time with them.

She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, John M. Wagner, a sister, Virginia Allen and a brother Jerry Brown.

Surviving are two daughters, Fran Willis and Margaret “Pete” Gadley, three grandchildren, Donna Manci, Lisa Cox and Chad Clark, six great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July, 10th at 3:00 p.m. in the Bethea Retirement Community Chapel.
