Mark Eugene Robey, 74, a resident of the Manor, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the McLeod Hospice House. Mark was born in Louisville, KY, a son of the late Wallace H. and Alora Arlene Angell Robey. He worked for 20 plus years in the family business, Robey’s Wicker and More and previously at Mark Robey Garden Center in Louisville. Mark had a savant memory and loved learning about all things Native American. He grew up listening to 60’s rock n roll and collected an extensive music library including his favorite band The Beatles. Mark played his guitar often and enjoyed travelling with his family.
Survivors are his brother, Dr. Dennison B. (Frances) Robey, his nieces and nephews, Jason H. Robey, Allison Robey (Stephen) LaRoche, Julie C. Robey and Spence R. Robey, his great nieces and nephews, Chloe, Oliver and Remey LaRoche, Degan, Lillian and Mille Hartsell and cousins, Janice (Nick) Remacklus and Donna (Greg) Case.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday, October 8, 2022 with a service to follow at 2PM in the Chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. After the service, the family will receive friends at the Robey residence, 3505 Lakeshore Drive, Florence, SC 29501.
