Linda Carol Cain Butler

Linda Carol Cain Butler, 62, of Florence, SC, went to be with her Lord Jesus on the 31st of October, 2023.  She passed peacefully surrounded by her friends and family.  She is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Lawrence Cain, and her mother, Emma Joan Cain, both of Hamlet, NC.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, James Butler of Florence; her daughter, Jenifer Butler of Florence; and her son, Matthew Butler of Effingham.  She is also survived by her beloved grandson, Jayden Butler of Florence, and five siblings, Ray Cain of Gatesville, TX, Ann Perkins of Rockingham, NC, Sherry Goins of Rockingham, NC, Cindy Cain of Hamlet, NC, and Richard Cain of Marston, NC. 

Linda lived entirely for the Lord Jesus Christ, her family and her many friends.  She proudly attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church where she joyfully sang in the choir alongside her church family.  She leaves behind a great legacy of love and service that we shall carry onward.  Though she will be deeply missed, she now rests in the peaceful and healing arms of Jesus Christ.  Linda’s last wish was that more people would give their lives to Jesus. 

Funeral services, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 3:30 PM on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.  Visitation will begin at the church at 2:30 on Friday.  There will be a brief graveside service at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the service at the church.
