Linda Messick

Linda Messick, 66, of Timmonsville, SC, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at MUSC.  She was born in Fort Gordon, GA, the daughter of the late Ernest Puckett and Edna Hamilton Puckett.  She is also predeceased by her birth mother, Iris Horbach; brother, Jimmy Puckett; sister, Brenda Thorpe; grandmother, Christine Mullins and grandmother, Thelma Ellsworth. 

Surviving is her husband, Steven Messick; her mother, Edna Puckett; son, Jonathan Messick; three brothers, Scott, Shaun and Gerold Ellsworth, Jr.; three sisters, Sue Gheen, Jarretta Ellsworth and Margie Downing; her birth father, Gerold Ellsworth (Jane); and four grandchildren, Colin, Nicholas, Gavin and Arabella; and her bonus mom, Judith Ellsworth.

A church-led memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Eastside Holiness Church, 201 S. McFarland St., Hartsville, SC 29550.  The family will speak to those in attendance following the service.  Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is honored to serve the Messick family. 

The family requests no flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice or to Steven Messick to help with the funeral costs.
