Joshua “Josh” Michael Rintelman, 23, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021. He was born in Milwaukee, WI, the son of Michael and Marie Janisse Rintelman. Josh is predeceased by a great-grandmother, Naomi Pavlik and his father-in-law, Michael Krieger.
Josh was working on a bachelor’s degree in US History & Politics from Regent University. He was a correctional officer for the SC Department of Corrections and had recently received his ministry ordination. He also had worked as a security officer at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission, which is where he met his wife. He was a member of the Florence County Republican Party and served as Precinct President for Florence 7 Precinct. He was a member of the Young American’s Foundation and a member of the First Baptist Church of Florence. He was also very involved in his home church, Open Door Bible Church, in Port Washington, WI. Josh loved the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He loved watching movies, especially John Wayne, Disney and Sylvester Stallone movies. He loved going to Disney World and eating good food, travelling and short trips with his wife, and playing baseball.
Josh is survived by his wife, Danae Krieger Rintelman; his parents, Michael and Marie Rintelman; a sister, Jennifer Rintelman of Florence; paternal grandparents, Dennis and Marilyn Rintelman, of Cedarburg, Wisconsin; maternal grandparents John and Muriel Janisse of Michigan; mother-in-law, Regan Johnson Krieger and a sister-in-law, Renata Krieger, both of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 11:00 AM on May 22, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Florence, SC. There will also be a Celebration of Life event held at a time to be determined on July 6, 2021 at Tello’s in Port Washington, Wisconsin.
