Jon Maxwell “Max” Perry, 84, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. He was born in Florence County, a son of the late Volena Perry. Max was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Pamplico and was retired after 41 years working with Wellman Industries in Johnsonville. He loved working in his yard.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Linda Susan Chestnut Perry; two daughters, Kaye Brown (Jimmy) and Candace Perry; son, Douglas Perry (Becky); three grandsons, Jared McDonald, Trent McDonald and Rusty Perry; and four great-grandchildren.
A small, intimate graveside service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 5, 2020, in the Trinity United Methodist Church Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, social distancing protocols will be observed.
The family requests no flowers please, but memorials may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 6758 Francis Marion Rd, Pamplico, SC 29583, or to the Canvasback Community Residential Home, 827 Canvasback Road, Florence, SC 29505.
