Obituary
John Dennis Hurley, 78, of Lynchburg, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was born in Westbury, NY, a son of the late Dennis and Ann Hurley. He is predeceased by his parents and his wife, Constance Barrow Hurley.
John served our country during the Vietnam War in the US Navy. He was the owner/operator of a Hurley Trenching and Excavating. He owned the Hancock General Store and Hurley Farms. John was a member of the VFW, the Moose Lodge in Georgetown, SC, and the DAV in Marathon, FL. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Huntington, NY.
Surviving is his son, Dennis F. Hurley (Sarah); his daughter, Elizabeth A. Hurley; two grandchildren, Rowan C. Hurley and Constance A. Hurley.
A graveside service with military honors, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 in the Friendship Cemetery in Lynchburg, SC.
