Obituary
Joan E. Klasek, 97, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the Methodist Manor. She was born in Berwyn, IL, a daughter of the late James and Ethel Bartos. She is also predeceased by her husband, Frank Klasek; her son, George Klasek; and her sister, Betty Beran.
Joan was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, she was the glue that held the family together. With her family and friends, she enjoyed baking Hoska, cooking and sewing. She was a member of the Bridge Club, was an avid player at the Leatherman Center. She liked playing Mahjong, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs.
She is survived by two daughters, Janis MacLean and Susan Eldridge (Richard); daughter-in-law, Shawn Klasek; five grandchildren, Scott Klasek (Connie), Samantha Klasek, Stephanie Eldridge, Brian MacLean and Sara Boehnke; and two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Tyler Boehnke.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is honored to serve the Klasek family.
