TIMMONSVILLE - Harry Allen Lee, 75, passed away peacefully in the loving care of Heritage Home of Florence on Tuesday night, July 18, 2023.
Mr. Lee was a proud Veteran, who served his country as a Marine Sgt. during the Vietnam War. He was a strong, independent and hardworking man who loved being outdoors and caring for his animals.
He was born May 5, 1948 in Florence County, the son of the late Rev. Harry Larue and Myrtle (Greene) Lee, both of Timmonsville.
Surviving are his three daughters, Angela (Danny) McElveen of Timmonsville, Ashley (Edward) Lunn of Florence and Allison Lee (Matthew Sarver) of Anniston, AL; five grandchildren, Jessica (Sentell) Goodman of Timmonsville, Megan (Robbie) Cromer of Pamplico, Justin Lunn of Florence, Aubrey (Mary Beth) McElveen of Florence and Darby McElveen (Ally Stogsdill) of Springdale, AR; and five great grandchildren.
In honoring his wishes, he has been sent to Hanover, MD in the care of Anatomy Gifts Registry to aid research and further education. A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Home of Florence, Dr. Bajaj, the team at McLeod Cancer Center, and those at McLeod Chemotherapy Clinic for their kindness, dedication and tender loving care provided to Mr. Lee. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Cain-Calcutt Funeral Home for their generous and compassionate support in handling his final request.
