Harrel Robert Drew

Harrel Robert Drew, 68, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at his residence.  Mr. Drew was born in Mullins, SC, a son of the late Robert Hosey and Janie Strickland Drew.  Harrel was the former owner and operator of Mullins Auto Parts Inc. before his retirement.  He was a member of Liberty Chapel UMC and an avid outdoorsman, who loved fishing and hunting.  Harrel was a Jack of all Trades who loved building and fixing things with his grandchildren.  His greatest joy was his family.

Harrel is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Charlotte Ford Drew, two daughters, Michelle Drew Bult (Bryan) and Haley Drew Whittington (Josh); seven grandchildren, Mary Drew Bult, Freeman Bult, Harrison Bult, Anna Campbell Bult, Rutledge Whittington, Wren Whittington and River Whittington; two brothers, Frank Drew (Lydia) and Jason Drew; a sister, Jane Jenkins (Paul); and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  A private family burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the church fellowship hall.

Memorials may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to Liberty Chapel UMC.
