General "Jimmy" Myers Prosser

General “Jimmy” Myers Prosser, 68, of Darlington, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 in the McLeod Regional Medical Center.  Jimmy was born in Florence Co., a son of the late Ruell and Trudy Mable Ard Prosser.  He was a mechanic by trade who could fix almost anything, who liked to invent things and handcrafting knives.  He also loved to fish when time allowed it.

He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by three brothers, Leo Ard, Virgil Dale Prosser and Lawrence Aaron Prosser and a sister, Pricilla Prosser Coe.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Cynthia Elmore Prosser, four sisters, Angie Estelle Prosser Coker (Danny), Suzanne Prosser Taylor (Lamar), Tenie Elizabeth Prosser McElveen and Regina “Dena” Prosser Poston, a brother, Phillip Ruell Prosser (Pam) and a number of nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  Cain Calcutt Funeral Home is honored to serve the Prosser family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence Area Humane Society.
