Emery Carr Daughtry of Charlotte, NC and Florence, SC passed away suddenly on February 1, 2022. Emery was born on February 5, 1976 in Florence, SC, the son of Dr. Curtiss Wilson Daughtry and Flora Anne Williams.
Having grown up in Florence and graduating from James F. Byrnes Academy, Emery attended Clemson University where he graduated in 1999, and later earned a Masters of International Business from the University of South Carolina in 2006. He also earned the coveted PMP designation, an important professional achievement in his chosen field. Emery resided in Charlotte, NC where he worked as an independent consultant as a Project Management Professional.
An avid traveler, Emery had studied in Dortmund, Germany, visited many countries, and he was fluent in multiple languages. He also enjoyed playing his guitar, drawing, and snow skiing, among other activities. Emery will be remembered for his intelligence, quick wit, sensitivity, artistic endeavors, humor, and generosity. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Emery was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers Kenneth Daniel Yarborough and David Grant Daughtry. He is survived by brothers James Michael Yarborough, Ernest Linwood Yarborough, III, and Curtiss Wilson Daughtry, Jr. (Susan).
A graveside service for Emery will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence, SC, followed by a memorial service at the Florence Country Club.
