Dorsey Joe "DJ" Cordell

Dorsey Joe “DJ” Cordell, 62, of Florence, SC, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family.  He was born in Guam, a son of the late Dorothy and Oscar Cordell.  He is also predeceased by a brother, Walter Cordell.

DJ was a veteran, having served in the US Navy.  He was employed with Consolidated Electrical Distributors in Florence and was a retired firefighter from the City of Florence Fire Department. 

Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Janet Cordell; sons, Tim Clark, Dave Neuzil, Matthew Neuzil; a daughter, Stacey Cordell; sister, Kim Cordell; and his mother in law, Betty Altman.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 11, 2018, in the Cain Calcutt Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home just prior to the service.
