Christina Irene Caples

Christina Irene Caples, 34, of Sanger, TX, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021.   She was born in Florence, SC, the daughter of Deedee and Timmy Matthews, and her father, Jimmy Caples.  She graduated from West Florence High School and Florence Darlington Tech.  She loved playing the clarinet and was in the WFHS marching band for 4 years.  She loved her girls, Haylee, Jodee and Casidee, and her brother, Nicholas, so very much.  Christina had a huge love for all animals and rescued dozens!

She is predeceased by her Nana, Patsy Jolly; Uncle Richard Yarborough; Cousin Derrick Gaymon; Uncle Jamie Yarborough and Chad Yarborough; Aunt Shirley Yarborough; and her Grandma Lena Mae Yarborough.

Surviving is her mother, Deedee and father, Timmy Matthews; her children, Haylee, Jodee and Casidee Evans and their father, JoJo Evans; her brother, Nicholas Matthews; Uncle Jimmy (Linda) Yarborough and Aunt Linda (Bing) Sharpe; Aunt Wendy (Keith) Carraway; Aunt Julia (Gary) Gregory; Uncle Terry Johnson; Aunt Donna (Melvin) Cantley; Aunt Barbara (Jimmy) Saverance; Grandparents, Margaret and David Marshall; Uncle Robin (Eva) Matthews; Uncle Kerry (Amy) Matthews; Aunt Dana (Jimmy) Evans; Uncle Mike (Cindy) Wood; Uncle Gene Caples; several cousins and family friend, Ronald Morris. 

A graveside service, directed by Cain Calcutt Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 14, 2021, in the Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  The family will speak to those in attendance following the service.  COVID-19 protocols such as social distancing and wearing of face coverings is advised.
