Beverly Anne Dartnell

Beverly Anne Dartnell, 65 of Florence, SC passed away Saturday morning, November 3rd, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House surrounded by her family.  She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia and is the daughter of Elizabeth Moyer Farquhar, George Farquhar and the late Charlie Rolfe.

Mrs. Dartnell served Florence 1 as a middle school history teacher at both Moore Middle School and Sneed Middle School for over 20 years. Bev is remembered for the impact she made on the lives of hundreds of students, many who reached out to her over the years to thank her for seeing their potential way before they could see it themselves.  She was an avid soccer fan who worked tirelessly to support Florence Soccer as she was a member of the original group of parents who began the Florence Soccer Association.  She is remembered for ability to tell a story that not only taught you about our country’s history, but also inspired you to be a better citizen.  Her love for others and her infectious laugh will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three children, Robyn Dartnell Heffernan, Nate Dartnell and Mandy Dartnell Stoklosa; seven grandchildren, Riley Heffernan, Maggie Heffernan, Casey Heffernan, Wesleigh Dartnell, Grace Stoklosa, Jake Stoklosa, and Claire Stoklosa, her son in-laws Sean Heffernan and Dave Stoklosa; her beloved brother Chad Rolfe; and her cousins Susan Sneed, Jimmy Sneed, and Charlie Sneed.

Beverly will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg, West Virginia.
