Ashley Cox Obituary

Ashley Brooke Powell Cox, 37, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020, at her residence. She was born in Florence, SC, a daughter of Simon W. (Gayle) Powell and Anne Poston (Ernie) Dinsmore. She is predeceased by her sister, Amanda Beth Powell Watts, an uncle, Don Poston, her maternal grandfather, Harvey Poston, and paternal grandparents, Rev. Charldon and Zuila Hartfield Powell.

Ashley Was employed by the Assurant Group in Florence. She was a member of Dawsey United Methodist Church and was the mother of a wonderful son. Ashley was an avid Clemson fan and loved sports and the outdoors. She also served as secretary to Greenwood Athletic Park.

Surviving in addition to her parents is her beloved son, Evan C. Cox; her maternal grandmother, Sherry Poston; an uncle, Gerald Powell; and her canine companions, Duke and Drake.

Due to COVID-19, a private service will be held in the chapel of Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.
