Pamela Joan Parker Wise Hoogenboom, 78, went to her heavenly home on March 30, 2019 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born in Lincoln England to the late Walter Henry & Lucy Barrett Parker. During her working years, she faithfully carried out her occupational duties at Electro- Motive, Belk Department Store, General Electric Mobile Radio, and Magnetic Imaging. She owned Brass and Treasures Gift Shop, and before retirement, was the Activities Director at both McClenaghan Place, and The Carolinian Retirement Community. She sang for years in the Chancel Choir at First Presbyterian Church in Florence. She was also a member of the Good Samaritan Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Leonard A. Hoogenboom; her children from her previous marriage to the late Bobby Wise: Sandra (David) Benson, Carolyn Worrell, and Elizabeth (Hal) Fuller, all of Florence, SC. Also surviving, are three step-children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many wonderful friends.
A church-led Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Lawson/Rain Chapel, 700 Park Ave, Florence, SC on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 2:30 PM. The family will receive friends at the Chapel from 2:00 – 2:30 PM.
