Obituary
Marilyn Haley Messina, 92, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Methodist Manor. Mrs. Messina was born in Elizabeth, NJ, a daughter of the late Dean Horton and Helen Lutz Haley. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, NJ and enjoyed knitting, sewing and stamp collecting. She was a strong willed, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great mother, who always put her family first.
She is preceded in death in addition to her parents by her sister, Virginia Ruth Haley.
Surviving are her loving husband of 68 years, Joseph Michael Messina, two daughters, Daryl Messina (William) Stokey and Barbara Messina (Harry) Sarver; three grandchildren, Matthew Joseph Sarver, Christopher Thomas (Brandi) Sarver, and Dana Messina (David) Smith; and six great grandchildren, Kayln, Kassidy, Kira, Lydia, Dottie, and Brynn.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
