John "Johnny" Gainey, Jr.

John “Johnny” Gainey, Jr., 56, of Aynor, SC, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Conway Medical Center.  Johnny was born in Florence, Co., the son of the late John and Juanita Miles Gainey.  He worked all his life in the plumbing industry with various companies throughout the Pee Dee.  Johnny was an avid fisherman and billiard player, where he was a member of the APA Pool League.  He was a member of Aynor First Pentecostal Church.

He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by his grandson, Noah Wayne Jackson.

Surviving are his loving wife of 19  years, Chrissa Lula Gainey; 6 children, Crystal Marie (Larry Jackson, Jr) Gainey, John Gainey, III; Clarissa Ernesteen Gainey; Buddy Lee (Brianna Bass) Gainey; Hunter Lee Gainey; Colby Von Prince; 3 grandchildren, Larry Jackson, III, John Gainey, IV, and Caylee Marie Jackson; 3 sisters, Linda Faye Medlin, Shirley Ann (Archie) Goodman, and Cindy Marie (Ronnie) Gainey; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.  Graveside services will follow at 12:30 PM at Thompson Cemetery on Chinaberry Road.

Memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with arrangements.
