Ronald Bahij Baroody, 74, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. He was born in Florence, a son of the late Bahij Joseph and Yvonne Khouri Baroody. He is also predeceased by a brother, Albert Baroody, and a sister-in-law, Rita Meggs. Ronald attended Carlisle Military School in Bamberg, and then served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was also stationed at the Pentagon during his service. He graduated with a Business Degree from Francis Marion College and worked for various telecommunications companies. He later was the owner/operator of his own company.
Ronald was a loving and devoted husband, supportive father and grandfather who loved his family unconditionally. He was kind, selfless, spiritual and had the innate ability to bring laughter to the people around him.
Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Linda Harrell Baroody; children, Ronald “Ronny” Bahij Baroody, Jr., of New York City, and Caroline Baroody Junnarkar (Gau) of Scarsdale, NY; grandsons, Ravi Bahij Junnarkar and Leo Gautam Junnarkar; brother, Joey Baroody (Peggy); brothers and sisters-in-law Janice Baroody, Patsy Chapman, Robin McKnight, Sandra Harrell, Bobby Harrell and Marty Meggs; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; and Emma Lee Brown, who helped to raise him.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Cain Calcutt Funeral Home.
